Illustration showcasing the Intercultural Heritage of Afghanistan — the trading hub of through antiquity connecting the African and the Eurasian continents. In the our modern sociopolitical climate, it is important to questions the politically filtered narratives of history that we have inherited. In-depth research from primary and secondary sources will reveal a much richer and more complicated history involving confluence of fluid identities and cultural trade. Quoted from a separate project ‘Ubuntu: Portraits of the Sacred’: As it is with all country-states, Kenya is a myth. It is intrinsically connected to the rich culture and soil of the African continent and by sea to the rest of the world. The illusion of separation is embodied by the seas. Beneath the superficial separation of lands is a profound connection. Indeed, we are no different. All organic cells are essentially pockets of seawater. Through trade and travel, we agent the communication of lands. Like the sea, we connect the lands that our myths divide. Like the sea, we do both, for our myths of country divide the lands we connect. The fluidity of identity in Kenya is akin to this juxtaposition of both being opposites simultaneously. $1000 for non-exclusive rights for publication for one month reserved to one medium. $3000 for non-exclusive rights of publication for one month in any medium. $5000 for non-exclusive rights of publication for 6 months in one medium.
