About
The Prosperity Project (“The Project”) is a new not-for-profit, founded initially to mitigate the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on Canadian women, who are being disproportionately affected. The Matching Initiative matches NPOs that serve women with relevant organizations in the public sector. The volunteer will work in a collaborative, supportive and flexible environment. All work will be done remotely so the highest levels of health and safety assurance can be maintained. The Prosperity Project is a Pan-Canadian organization. There are five Volunteer positions available, and geographic diversity will be a factor in the volunteers hired. Bilingualism (French/English) will be an asset in all volunteer positions. The Project applies an intersectional identities and inclusivity lens to serve women who also identify as a visible minority, Indigenous, refugees, persons with disabilities and/or LGBTQ2+. The Project acknowledges the unique needs of women of colour and will enlist this broad spectrum. Applications from any of these groups are warmly welcomed. MISSION - The Prosperity Project Protect and improve women’s and girls’ economic security and prosperity during the Covid-19 pre-recovery, recovery and post-recovery periods to ensure that Covid-19 does not erase the progress women have made in Canada towards gender equality. VISION - The Prosperity Project Increase the labour force participation rate of women and the number of women in leadership and decision-making roles (and in the pipeline to these roles).
