My name is Dane from Port Alfred, South Africa. From a very little boy I always wondered what makes computers tick and this has created a burning desire to pursue my passion in IT. I am a graduate from Varisty College majoring in Microsoft Windows Desktop and Servers and network infrastructure and security. I have been in the Information Technology Industry for around 18 years and I have worked for organizations like Nedcor, St Nicholas Diocese School, Shooter & Shuter Publisher, Howick High School, The world renowned Drakensberg Boys Choir School and Kingswood College. I have been directly involved in developing and maintaining IT Microsoft Systems and network infrastructures. I have built and maintained Domain controllers with Active Directories, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, NPS, WSUS and WDS just to name a few. I have worked with Google suites and integrated Microsoft systems with Google using GADS (Google Active Directory Synch). I have also worked with Microsoft Exchange servers and successfully migrated several on premise exchange servers to Exchange online. I have Rolled out and administered o365 and azure services successfully across all the campuses I have worked at. I have setup and maintained mikrotik routers, Ubiquiti Unifi WIFI access points which are controlled from a central controller on larger environments, Segregated networks using VLANS and worked on Fortinet Firewalls , Fortinet WIFI access points and Fortinet controllers. I am a critical thinker able to monitor and solve complex problems. I can work independently without supervision and capable of working under pressure and meet all deadlines within the timeframe specified.
