I’m Emil Pitea, a computer science student with a growing passion for game development, engineering, and technology. Professionally, I’ve had hands-on experience in both leadership and development roles—most notably as a team leader in Belgium, where I coordinated and supported a small team, and during a summer practice at Visma, where I applied NLP with the OpenAI API to classify social media data.
I thrive in solitary environments where I can focus deeply, but I’m equally capable in collaborative settings, drawing from my experience guiding teams and contributing to non-profit activities. My strengths include adaptability, persistence, and a strong drive to complete tasks diligently without delay. Technically, I’m skilled in languages like C#, Python, Java, and have worked on various desktop applications—including a payroll management system and a construction estimator tool.
Beyond coding, I’m passionate about gaming, motorcycles, and traveling. Recently, I’ve started learning Unity to blend my creative and technical interests into game development.

Summer practice
I worked on a Natural Language Processing (NLP) project using the OpenAI API. My task was to classify and analyze comments on Instagram posts from the Jumbo-Visma cycling team. This involved gathering real-world user-generated content, processing it for sentiment and relevance, and then visualizing the results through data charts and graphs. The experience strengthened my understanding of API integration, data handling, and sentiment analysis—while also reinforcing my ability to work independently on meaningful, real-world applications of AI.
