I work as an estimation engineer. I learned the tea, working here. I estimate the materials of concrete, foaming, steel to be used, cement sand and aggregate quantity to be used and quote the rate per unit square feet considering the rates of labor and material rates in the market. I estimate the amount of brick work required, the DPC quantity to be used, excavation and backfilling of soil in the building from the plans provided.

I had to draw the roof and gutters of the residential and commercial buildings in U.S and U.K countries. The file contain the gutter drawings, length of gutters required, endcaps, outer corner and inner corner details to let the client know that how much of their material is about to be used in guttering process of the building. The other drawings include areas of roof, the length of ridge material to be used and blue prints of the buildings. This might help in estimation of materials.
