Communication and Digital Media Advisor
As the Communication and Digital Media Advisor, my role supports the Sri Lanka Institute for Tourism and Hospitality Management (SLITHM) to develop strategic external communications designed to promote SLITHM and increase engagement of youth, especially young women. Responsibilities: - Increase Brand awareness for SLITHM. - Support the development of communications materials and activities, and coordinating a Communications for SLITHM. - Collaborate and review the existing external communication strategy and develop a social media calendar and work plan for SLITHM. - Preparing written and visual communications for SLITHM. - Build and develop the organization’s presence on the web and social media platforms. - Constantly updating content on SLITHM’s website. - Review social media analytics to measure audience engagement and share best practices and learnings. - Assist in digital asset management. - Collaborate with the partner to ensure that youth, particularly young women and marginalized youth, are included in any capacity strengthening activities. - Ensure that the branding guidelines are followed. - Undertake public engagement and fundraising activities before, during, and after my volunteer assignment. - Worked on topics relating to Gender equality, youth inclusion, and international volunteering. - Host events & online meetings at SLIHM and WUSC.
