About
I am a creative postdoctoral researcher with five years of experience in handling and analysing microbial genes of 1030 specimens, understanding their interactions with the environments. I specifically adopt a holistic approach to better understand the role of microbes. I am currently looking for a challenging opportunity within the field of microbiology.

Thesis title: « Environmental, genetic and temporal changes affecting the whole bacterial community in B. tabaci species in East Africa, and reproductive isolation of SSA1 whiteflies». Results: • Discovered new bacteria with a potential role in whitefly outbreaks. • Discovered the negative role of Arsenophonus in whitefly reproduction. • Investigated the multifactorial relationships between environmental factors and whitefly reproduction and outbreaks. • Contributed to taxonomic research of bacterial specimens. Methods: • Generated DNA samples and DNA barcodes from bacterial specimens. • Analysed sequences using Qiime2 on the HPC Platform. • Performed Statistical Analysis of large sets of data using R Software. • Maintained plants and insect colonies and developed laboratory protocols
