Job Purpose
Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for key strategic data projects. We are looking for a proactive individual that can help us to continually improve and enhance our business processes, gathering requirements and feedback, and designing best practice solutions. The Senior Data Analyst will report to the Distribution Intelligence Managing Director, working within the Distribution Intelligence team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Consult and liaise with key stakeholders to gather and confirm business requirements
Support the below focus projects:
Monthly ETF Tracking
Coordination with IT to automate monthly checks to ensure data accuracy of process and auditability
MF, MA, 529, ETF Monthly Tracking Process in Data Mart + Prior Period Adjustments
Coordination with IT to define and prioritize development plan in Azure Boards
Data audit between databases / systems to ensure completeness and accuracy of dataset
Develop testing plan & perform business QA steps to ensure completeness and accuracy of development work
Coordination with IT to automate monthly checks to ensure data accuracy of monthly process and auditability
ETF Reporting
Monthly ETF Reconciliations
Coordination with IT to run monthly detailed reconciliation of Broadridge source file vs. SalesPage and review for reasonableness
Compile Monthly ETF Recon Report & investigate / document variances
Broadridge source file vs. Finance
Broadridge source file vs. SalesPage
Finance vs. SalesPage
Total SalesPage vs. Resolved Data
Monthly Broadridge ETF Report
Compile monthly Excel report
Review for insights & distribute to stakeholders monthly
Monthly Envestnet ETF Report:

Distribution Expansion / Territory Analysis
Quarterly Territory Analyses
QA of data for analysis
Automation of quarterly territory analyses in Power BI
Derive and summarizes insights for sales management and sales teams
Perform ad hoc territory realignment analyses in collaboration with Sales Management
QA of data for analysis
Perform ad hoc analysis by request from Sales Management
Document and present analysis findings to Sales Management
Data Accuracy
Dually Registered Duplicate Offices
Coordination with IT to automate process of maintaining ‘Exception List’ in SQL to office exceptions systematically identified through the application of business rules
Firm Channelization
Establish process for assigning firm channelization to new firms on an ongoing basis
Coordination with IT on development of solution
QA of outputs
Finance vs. SalesPage – Asset Reconciliations
Monthly review of existing reconciliations to highlight variances for investigation by the team
Coordination with IT to scale existing reconciliation process to include additional vehicle types (ETFs, UCITS, SMAs) including QA of reconciliations for business requirements
Establish process for regular review of reconciliations & communication of findings
Finance vs. SalesPage – Transactions Reconciliations
Develop understanding of the transaction process & best source for reconciliation by vehicle type (MF, VIT, ETF, UCITS, 529, SMAs)
Coordinate with IT to develop an automated process for reconciling transactions monthly
QA IT reconciliation for business requirements
Establish process for regular review of reconciliations & communication of findings
Qualifications
Background in accounting/audit, experience with the retail asset management distribution, experience with process improvement, data quality management and operational excellence are preferred but not required
Experience with Salesforce, SalesPage, Power BI, Azure Boards preferred but not required
