About the role We're on the search for a Support engineer (NOC engineer) who will play a key role in Clearscale's Managed Services team. In this role, you will be part of a team that supports company clients's cloud infrastructure health and service monitoring, covering evening and night shifts during the week, as well as during the weekend (2x2). Job responsibilities Provide first-level proactive support for ClearScale's global customers Client' environment monitoring (* NIX-systems): actively monitor and maintain alerts, internal tickets, detection of bottlenecks, analysis of graphs, etc Assist in troubleshooting for all operative and infrastructure incidents Establish best practices for alerting and troubleshooting network events for the MSP Support team Monitor the performance and capability of computer systems using diversified tools Perform initial evaluations Watch ticket queues to meet SLA requirements set and enforced by the ticketing system Create trouble tickets with the carriers for circuit issues In response to incidents, the Support engineer should carefully track and document all defects and resolutions in detail Collaborate with the technical support team and engineering team as needed Communications with the customer in English (emails, slack chat, calls, work sessions) Required skills and experience Experience with Linux at the command line level Deep experience with Linux Server, Windows support (1-3 years) Self-motivated with a strong desire to work to your greatest potential and provide excellent customer support Excellent troubleshooting skills Experience with web technologies like Apache, IIS, Nginx Good understanding of DNS, HTTPS, TCP/IP Production infrastructure support (1-3 years) of US or EU customers Monitoring: Zabbix or Nagios Upper Intermediate English oral and written is a must (B2-C1) Possess excellent technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strongly self-motivated to overcome challenges and identify new opportunities for process improvement Ability to prioritize work while multi-tasking Highly driven to constantly improve skills and gain new knowledge Will be a huge plus: Optional: AWS Ops experience and expertise with key AWS services (EC2, IAM, S3, VPC, EKS, RDS) Optional: Monitoring tools like Zabbix or Nagios Optional: Scripting: bash, shell, Python and/or other programming skills Optional: Databases: MySQL/ PostgreSQL / Mongo What we offer # 1 Fair wage Fixed hourly rate in USD Full-time, 40 hours per week contract.
