Medtronic is seeking a Diabetes Processing Specialist to grow the usage of core products within the Diabetes product portfolio. The Diabetes Processing Specialist is a member of an integrated sales team that works to process and provide support in document collection. In this role, this individual will continue to foster strong relationships with health care providers and insurance companies. Our processors will collaborate with distributors, field sales, and the inside sales teams to ensure sales goals are met. You will be responsible for revenue generation and clean claims billing. This role will report into an Inside Sales Supervisor.
Additional Information
Location: Candidates must reside in the greater San Antonio, TX area. This is an onsite position; employees must be able to work onsite at our San Antonio Medtronic Office 5 days/week.
Hours: Work schedules may vary and candidates must have some flexibility to work evenings, holidays, weekends, and overtime. Typical hours will be an 8 hour shift between 7A-6P).

Compensation: The pay rate for this position is set at $15.50 per hour and occasional overtime may be required. Additionally, there is a sales incentive plan with an annual commission target of $4,350 at goal (uncapped additional commission for above goal performance).
Training class: The projected start date for this position is May 8th. To be considered, you must be available to attend our training from May 8th - May 30th.
A Day in the Life
Participates in process improvement activities to ensure productive and successful business relationships
Promotes and fosters account relationships with various physicians
Builds relationships with office staff to facilitate document collection
Captures physician charts, labs, notes or letters of medical necessity necessary to receive Insurance approval
Sets shipment/order processing expectations with physicians
Partners with physicians to appeal rejected submissions for prior authorizations
Guides physicians in the order processing of our products
Promotes and fosters account relationships with various insurance companies
Works within a defined level of authority to process commercial and government insurance claims in coordination with patient benefits for Diabetes to provide potential patients with Medtronic Diabetes solutions, products, discounts, and pricing
Serves as a customer advocate with payers
Guides payers to a level of understanding with insurance plans
Partners with inside and field sales representatives to provide consistent communication on claim processing with the patient
Works with national distributors to coordinate claims processing
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Two (2) years of customer service or sales experience
Nice to Have
Customer service experience within a call center environment
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer skills
Previous experience working in a high paced, goal driven, and results or sales orientated environment
Ability to understand and solve underlying causes of simple or complex problems
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities at once and perform in a team orientated environment
Strong attention to detail by being exact, precise, and accurate
