Position: Electrical/Hardware Engineer

Job Description:
Model and simulate circuit or system performance of dc-dc power converters and filters using analytical tools to ensure reliable circuit designs and resolve design challenges effectively.
Detailed design and analysis of discrete implementation of power converter control circuitry that is resistant to performance degradation due to radiation effects.
Filter modeling, analysis and design.
System integration, test and development of DC power conversion hardware for spaceflight and Hi-Rel applications.
Investigate and evaluate new power topologies and control for spaceflight applications.
Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure that the designs meet the customers’ electrical, environmental as well as internal manufacturing requirements and standards.
Support internal concurrent design criteria.
Function as the technical interface for customers and attend technical meetings as required. Support specification development with customers.
Translate market specifications into design requirements. Generate design documentation required for prototype and/or production releases as required.
Document new designs per established guidelines including but not limited to simulations, test circuit measurements and tolerance analyses.
Provide appropriate input to the development of test procedures, fixtures and software.
Respond to market trends and requirements for product development specifications.
Provide error free and professional technical documentation, status reports and proposals.
Environmental and EMI/EMC Qualification testing as per DO-160 standards.
