About the Opportunity:
We’re seeking a dynamic marketer with a strong passion for technology with exceptional communication and project management skills.
As Head of Marketing for Japan (based in Tokyo), you will be owning and implementing the marketing strategy to meet new business objectives, and be responsible for the strategy and execution of campaigns that engage, educate, and convert our audience.
In this position, you will work collaboratively with our global marketing team members to deliver pipeline generating marketing. You will hire and build your own team step by step and will report directly to the Senior Director of Marketing - APAC.
What You’ll Do:
-Develop and implement the Japan marketing strategy functioning as a player-coach and be highly tactical in executing the plan
-Support/localise global GTM plans with the goal of generating a strong pipeline of leads for the sales team
-Establish brand presence in the new territories and drive leads traffic leveraging all parts of the marketing mix: including social, digital, website, events, partnerships to drive traffic / engagement / leads
-Track and analyze campaign performance and provide actionable items to test and improve main KPIs on a regular basis
-Work with content marketing to help inform content strategy, develop campaign specific messages and align demand generation programs with ongoing content initiatives
-Work with your global colleagues to drive digital demand through organic and paid channels as well as deliver stand-out events with remote support from the APAC events team
-Work closely with the Japan sales, SDR and partnerships teams to exceed revenue targets
-Be a visible member and leader within the Japan market, including creating thought -leadership, and being active in the field with the sales team when appropriate
-Manage Reporting and Budgeting for the region
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
-5+ years of B2B marketing experience including at least 2 years in a software company in a leadership position
-Experience using marketing automation and CRM tools (e.g. Hubspot, Marketo, Eloqua, Pardot, Salesforce)
-Strong oral and written communication skills (Fluent in Japanese and comfortable communicator in English) with the ability to create and pitch compelling marketing materials; ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical people
-Proven track record of success in tactical marketing roles in such as demand generation, account-based marketing, PR and field marketing
-Proven track record of creating winning partnerships externally with brand marketers, agencies, and internally with the Design, sales, SDR and CSM teams
-Ability to work in team and with different stakeholders
-Experience working for an international software company is a plus
