Luxury Lodge Management Company is looking for a Maintenance Manager to be based in the Okavango/Chobe region with the main focus on water systems. This is a live-in position.
Experience required:
A diploma/degree in electrical & mechanical engineering
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Valid Drivers’ Licence
Valid PRDP Licence
Electrical or mechanical skills
Must be proactive
Must be able to work under pressure
Be willing to constantly move between camps
Be investigative and curious
Have strong analytical skills
Duties include:
General Maintenance of all electrical equipment in the camps i.e., solar plants, generators, water systems and sewage treatment plants
Servicing and maintaining of water pumps, boreholes, and wells
Regular tests of water and recording water levels
Advice on any upgrade needed for any equipment in camps
Managing and setting up water and power budgets/costs for the camps
Maintaining and accepting responsibility of equipment
Ensuring that the generator is well serviced, and hours are recorded effectively
Fitting work hours around guest hours to ensure guests are not disturbed unnecessarily
Form and maintain relationships with external suppliers and contractors
Forming and maintaining relationships with industry players
Responsible for all maintenance projects in camp
Implement preventative maintenance measures
