As a full-time Medical Assistant, you will be a part of a collaborative team scribing for and supporting dermatology providers by ensuring all patients receive high quality, efficient, and comprehensive care, while demonstrating consistent adherence to the practice’s standards and procedures. You will be an integral part of helping to communicate with and educate patients, as well as assisting providers during medical and cosmetic procedures. You are detailed-oriented, proactive, initiative-taking individual with a passion for healthcare. This is a great opportunity for those who are interested in other advanced healthcare positions. Pre-med and science graduates will benefit from and excel in this position. Previous experience in the medical field is a plus but we are willing to train you. At least 2 years of customer service experience and advanced proficiency with computers are a plus!
You have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of Dermatology and/or Cosmetic Surgery experience. Certified Medical Assistant and Scribing experience preferred but not required. EMR experience - preferably Nextech, ModMed (Ema), or comparable software. CPR / BLS & Bloodborne Pathogen Certification preferred. Along with basic typing, computer, English, and mathematical skills, you also have an appropriate sense of discretion in dealing with varied and difficult situations; ensure compliance with all HIPPPA regulations; and able to communicate effectively with providers, patients, co-workers, and vendors. In addition, you have the ability to work as a team member; manage multiple tasks simultaneously and excel under pressure; be empathetic with patients’ needs and concerns; be attentive to detail; and be able to convey a positive, professional attitude in all your interactions with others.
