Recruiting for a Group Finance Manager for company in the Tourism industry to oversee the Finance & Accounting function of the Group. This is a remote role. Looking for a hands-on candidate who will be involved in the day-to-day finance functions, not only overseeing the department.
Experience required:
Proven experience as a Financial Manager
Experience within the financial sector
Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
Proficient user of finance software, such as SAGE Pastel Partner and other.
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used. A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
Degree or relevant qualification in Finance or Accounting.
Member of a Professional Regulatory body
Management reporting experience at Board Level
Ability to adapt to and work across multiple cultures.
Strong communication skills via phone, email and Skype.
Highly customer/client focused and complaint handling ability.
Strong influencing & negotiating skills.
Self-driven and able to work flexibly to meet deadlines and turn-around times.
Ability and willingness to work with local operations, sales and purchasing teams effectively.
Ability to work independently and in a team remotely.
Ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple tasks.
Competent in use of Microsoft Office products (particularly excel) & internet.
Attention to detail, striving towards minimum errors & high accuracy.
Ability to mentor and coach Junior staff.
Quick turn-around times.
Working effectively with other departments in the business, understanding the inter-departmental flows and dependency.
Knowledge of the Travel Industry
