We are looking for an analytical and commercially aware Research Assistant to support our Product Development team by researching and presenting comprehensive data on consumer trends, product analysis, patent information, supplier information and any other such information as directed in the research requirements.
You will have excellent organisational skills and be a great team player, communicator, with the ability to work under pressure and self-motivate. You will play an integral role in supporting the overall growth of the company as we embark on new product opportunities, and focus on expanding our existing portfolio.

What you’ll do:
-Assist Product Development team with a variety of data collection reports (abstracting Amazon data, researching trends, taking notes, etc.)
-Understand market dynamics, identifying potential products after comprehensive market research, creation of wish list
-Research new leads and find new key accounts/contacts specifically related to key product channels
-Analysing past product sales to identify upgrading possibilities
-Gathering, collating and analysing data.
-Prepare reports as and when required on key findings.
-Completing negative review analysis on current offerings and competitor offerings and ensure issues are reported relevant Product Manager
-Maintains collaborative team relationships with peers and colleagues in order to effectively contribute to the working group's achievement of goals, and to help foster a positive work environment
-Attends meetings and performs other ad-hoc duties as assigned

-You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, are articulate and can make key points clearly and succinctly using a variety of communication methods (reports, presentations, workshops)
-You are commercially aware with an entrepreneurial mindset and "can do" attitude
-You have robust qualitative research skills using a range of methodologies suited to the research objectives
-You have experience in a similar role within the consumer good industry (preferred)
-You can design and manage research across all stages from planning and prep to analysis and reporting
