Our Client is looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer who is passionate about technology and building products that meet high standards for performance and security. The environment is dynamic and fast-paced, working with cross-functional teams to build, test, and deliver the company’s products and features. The Dev Lead works directly with the Product Manager utilizing Scrum software development methodology to provide continuous updates to our software. Individuals with experience developing in Ruby on Rails, Rspec, HAML, and leading a team of development engineers are sought after for this role.
We are looking for a Dev Lead and tackle the following:
Creating and releasing products and API microservices.
Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to prioritize work for the team
Assist in removing roadblocks to enable developer efficiency
Manage and evolve DevOps practices
Create well designed, testable, efficient code using software development best practices
Design, develop and maintain Cloud products
Research new technologies and communicate findings with team members
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the goals of the product are aligned with the delivered features
Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Skills, Experience and Qualities The ideal Technical Lead will have:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Software Development
A minimum of 3 years of experience developing and releasing products using Ruby On Rails
Strong Behavior Driven Development with Rspec/Capybara
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent analytical skills; Superior problem-solving skills
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
Strong initiative and vision for continuous improvement
Nice to Have:
Experience leading a team of developers in a technical fashion.
Working knowledge of automated testing
Experience managing AWS infrastructure
Experience managing Azure infrastructure
Experience with Microservices and Kubernetes

We have physical offices in Arlington, VA, Sarasota, FL, and Fargo, ND. This position is remote with the option to work at any of our offices if desired.
This position may require occasional travel throughout the US to attend conferences or meet with team members.
