We need a dedicated Senior Linux/Unix System Administrator to join us.
English excellent oral and written communication skills
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or at least 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role)
Proven Linux/Unix knowledge and experience in system administration
RHEL Certified Systems Engineer and ITIL certification is an advantage
Linux performance tuning & troubleshooting, identifying, and resolving contention in CPU, memory, networking, disk I/O
Linux system administration (packages, users, ACLs, resource management, securing base installations, discovering basic hardware issues)
Experience with command-line tools (AWK, sed, grep) and one or more scripting languages (Bash, Perl, Python)
Understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, and an overview of load balancing clusters
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Demonstrable ability to work independently as well as with highly multi-functional teams
Good understanding of DNS, email, web servers, databases and usage of IT tools such as BSA/ Flexera/ Nagios/monitoring tools
Experience in working with hypervisors (VMWare, Xen, KVM) – an advantage
Ansible, Chef, Puppet Automation tools – an advantage
SE Linux – an advantage;
Pacemaker/Red Hat cluster knowledge it’s a plus
Experience with SuSE is a plus
Storage management OS Part: Build/Extend filesystems, SAN, EMC, ISCSI, add/extend new disks, multipath, Logical Volume Manager, Partition
Networking: Configure Interfaces, Bonding, Add routes, NFS, Samba Tasks
You have to install, configure, test and patch operating systems including security packages;
You will work with different internal teams to understand product domains and address documentation/training needs;
Maintain and grow a production environment in a way that makes the system increasingly maintainable;
You must take part into support for production issues and upgrades, and pre-production installations at varying levels;
Supervise services that are provided to customers;
Work to resolve a running queue of system related support tickets and debug different problems as they arise.
Available for On call activities -standby support OBH
Available for maintenances, some of them planned outside business hours
