Taoti Creative is Hiring a Sr. UX Strategist/Designer! UX · Washington, District of Columbia · Hybrid or Remote Do you dream in design systems? We are looking for an experienced and hands-on UX strategist who’s not afraid to get knee-deep in the process and knows how to get results. Our ideal candidate... You’re an empathetic storyteller and life-long learner, who is passionate about resolving user pain points through design. You are a “big-picture” thinker who can facilitate large-scale workshops and translate complicated business requirements into journey maps, blueprints, sitemaps, wireframes, and prototypes. You are a strong communicator who can write and speak strategically about design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients. You are passionate about the importance of user-centered design and design thinking. Our client base is very diverse, UX engagements include National Park Service, DC Lottery, U.S. Figure Skating, Howard County Library System, World Bank, USAID, etc., to name a very few. Not to brag, we were voted best UX in Washington DC by Expertise. The Day to Day While it will vary from week to week, most of your time will be supporting important client projects. Things like: Leading user research and discovery (user interviews, surveys, heatmaps, heuristics analysis, competitor analysis, content audits, analytics audits using Google Analytics, discovery findings presentations) Facilitating, designing, and leading UX workshops and presentations with senior-level, C-Suite clients using visual storytelling and design thinking methodologies Translating user research into UX artifacts: sitemaps, user flows, user journey maps, service blueprints, wireframes, and prototypes Leading, writing, and presenting usability tests, user scripts, tasks, and reports to clients Maintain and update our design systems in Adobe XD Leading UX quality assurance testing to ensure UX strategy is maintained throughout the lifecycle of a project Collaborating and mentoring other UX designers, visual designers, developers, accessibility analysts, marketers, and project managers to build the best product we can for our users and clients The rest of the time is best described as "everything else." This could be supporting biz dev efforts as a subject matter expert or other critical activities. What We’re Looking For We want a tactical type of UX strategist—someone not afraid to roll up their sleeves and do the work. Some key points that we're hoping you have: An amazing and prolific portfolio that demonstrates the use of creative and novel solutions to solve complex problems 5+ years of experience working as a full-time UX professional 5+ years of experience working on UX design for websites or native apps (iOS and Android). 5+ years of experience facilitating and designing UX workshops and presentations with clients or in a consulting role. (This is a very client-facing role, if you don’t like communicating with stakeholders, it might not be for you) Ability to work in a fast-past agency environment leading multiple client projects at one time Experience creating and launching native apps and taking a product from concept to production Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills, including the ability to write and present design concepts and findings clearly and persuasively to colleagues, partners, stakeholders, and especially to senior executives Adept at gathering requirements and understanding the design needs of a public sector client interfacing with a global public Adept at synthesizing quantitative and qualitative research data into insights, recommendations and strategies which help achieve client goals Growth-mindset, open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism to improve Experience working with Adobe XD, Optimal Workshop, Slickplan, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Slack, User Interviews preferred Career Growth The best part of this role is the ability to help manifest your own destiny.
