Become a Data Collector that contributes to entering information into a database and ensures that your data collection sources are accurate. Data collection is the process of gathering and measuring information on variables of interest, in an established systematic fashion that enables one to answer stated research questions and evaluate outcomes.
Appen is collecting speech data in various languages to train and develop artificial intelligence algorithms that will be used to improve speech recognition technologies.
Requirements:
• Must speak the Ukrainian language and currently reside in Poland
• Must have Appen Mobile downloaded on a smartphone for audio recordings
• Ability to record in a very quiet indoor environment, free from any background noises
Project Task:
1. The task contains a total of 100 scripted short sentences that you need to read on a screen and record. You just have to follow the sentences as written, no need to create your own sentences.
• Example of a sentence that you would need to read: "II-grupp tieghi ghandu gig dan il-weekend fil-bar fejn nahdem" or "Ха-ха, може мені треба піти в школу в Орландо. До речі, про школу, як тобі знадобився твій ступінь?"
2. The recording will be done and uploaded through our Appen Mobile App.
Duration of Task:
• Please plan approx. 2 hours to record the 100 short scripted recordings.
• You will have 48 hours, based on the timestamp in which we send you access to the task, to complete your session.
