Description of Role: The Staff Accountant is to provide the necessary support to Senior Accountant and Regional Controller. General Ledger entries and account reconciliation will be main job duties. Tasks: Perform all accounting functions to include cash disbursements, adjusting entries, recurring entries, and reconciling all accounts at month end. Perform General Ledger functions including account reconciliation and journal entries. Provide accurate lot sales price for Title Companies. Analyze property tax bills and submit to taxing entity. Assist controller with accounting research and provide correct information for journal entries. Provide information to Controller and VP Finance as needed. Work independently and collaboratively to meet all deadlines and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. Ensure all work product is completed with required accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrate organizational skills. Ensure you present yourself in a professional manner, while maintaining an insightful and enthusiastic team focused environment. Maintain open and positive communication channels to help the flow of information from department to department. Participate in training when needed. This includes learning product knowledge, procedural proficiencies, and computer software. Adhere to departmental operating guidelines and View Homes’ Employee Manual. Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller. Have a fun and enthusiastic attitude! Skills and Requirements: 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting Microsoft Office experience Strong mathematical and analytical skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Ability to read and analyze financial reports Strong understanding of US tax regulations Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm
