About the role
As a Value Engineer, you are in charge of helping put together the business case for the deployment of o9’s solutions at our customers.
You will work closely with the sales team – as well as with the customer team – to understand the scope of the project in order to identify the key value drivers that matter to the customer and that will be improved with the o9 solution. You will then articulate how o9 will help and also quantify these business improvements. For this, you will leverage your supply chain and digital transformation experience, as well as your ex-consultant’s analytical toolset. Within o9, you will be the resident expert when it comes to understanding and sizing the value levers that we impact, presenting the impact in a consistent way, and measuring the actual value we deliver to our customer through our solution.
What you’ll do for us…
Understand the customer’s industry and current way of working and how this will be affected by the deployment of o9’s solution
Understand the value drivers and key performance indicators that are relevant, collect the current performance, and help assess how these value drivers/KPIs will be improved as a result of the project
Quantify the impact along these value drivers/KPIs
Prepare the presentation with both the rationale for these improvements (drivers, assumptions) and the quantified business case
Collect benchmarks and past business cases to create a library that will help us be more structured and effective in developing business cases
Work with the Delivery organization to track the benefit realization over time, to ensure that our business cases are as close as possible to reality
Share your knowledge internally, but also externally by contributing to blogs and articles
What you'll have...
Education: Master degree
At least 8 years as a consultant for one of the top consulting firms, where you will have acquired the consulting analytical “mindset and toolset”
Substantial experience in supply chain, operations, planning and/or digital transformation.
Experience with building or measuring key performance indicators (KPI)
Familiar with benchmarking companies is a plus, e.g. APCQ, Gartner, supply chain 24/7, etc.
Knowledge of planning processes and best practices in the area of supply chain would be a great plus
High degree of comfort using Excel or BI tools for building analytical models as well as putting together presentations to explain the approach and results
Comfortable conducting interviews with customers, as well as presenting and explaining the results of your work in front of an audience
Ability to travel domestically and internationally – as might be required
Low on ego, high on interest to contribute to the benefit of our customers and your peers
