It depends on your skills, experience, passion and our current investment priorities. The reality changes too quickly to set such things in stone. - Have a real impact on product features and roadmap. - Perform hands-on software development in a variety of technologies (see our stack below) along with the team by implementing features, automated tests, fixing bugs, and doing code reviews; we don’t pigeonhole people in front-end or back-end silos; - Be a part of a self-organising, cross-functional Scrum team and cooperate closely with other Software Engineers, UX Designers, Product Managers, Team Leader, and with other specialists like Product Marketeers or Support Engineers. - Share your thoughts openly and honestly on what would be the best for the customers and the business: you will be part of discussions about the future of our products and Spartez Software; - Decide freely about your day and assignments - we do not micromanage people and we do care about work & life balance. - Be the change you seek - if you see that something can be improved, suggest how and make it happen (alone or engaging your colleagues). - Mentor other team members by applying your expertise and communication skills. Join us to become an owner of the products' lifecycle together with Product Manager and experienced engineers. You will: - Lead a team of 5 experienced professionals in delivering the greatest customer value. The team is dedicated to one of our most powerful, profitable and booming product Agile Poker for Jira, used by thousands of users from various companies (e.g. Lenovo, IBM, Cisco, Oracle, Amazon, Live Chat, Adidas, Gartner, Ubisoft, Mercedes-Benz), and maintains Asset Tracker for Jira Server; - Be fully focused on the customers' needs; - Collaborate closely with our awesome Product Manager - Lex Kovalenko - to define products' long and short term roadmap; - Use your JavaScript and Java knowledge to own products' technical vision and incorporate it into the roadmap; - Implement changes spanning the entire stack - no artificial division between frontend and backend; - Distill team ownership and responsibility through an obsession with metrics (Lambda team owns our analytics platform called TANK); - Day-to-day, hands-on team leading to ensure the greatest quality of the product, development processes, code, code reviews; - Minimizing time to market for every product increment; - People management including performance/salary reviews. We expect: - Minimum 5 years of experience in software development with 1+ year as a leader; - Experience in leading a development team (complete lifecycle) using Agile principles and practices, with the proven ability to mentor, motivate and support the growth of engineers; - Up-to-date knowledge of one of the modern JavaScript frameworks (we use Vue.js, but Angular or React knowledge is fine) and Java coding skills; - Goals and metrics-driven approach to software product development; - Strong understanding of web applications, including performance, quality and security aspects; - Good grasp of SQL and relational databases or BigQuery; - Excellent communication skills and upper-intermediate level of English (written and spoken); - Familiarity with modern cloud architectures and involvement in implementing them in Azure, AWS, or GCP is a plus!
