 Responsible for patch management, desktop optimization, monitoring, data backup, and other preventative maintenance.  Configuring, testing, distributing, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktop/laptop equipment, smartphones, printers, software, and peripherals via SCCM.  Create user accounts and assign them to the appropriate groups on Active Directory while implementing Least Privilege rule.  Enroll users' mobile on Microsoft Intune for them to gain access to company proprietary applications.  Liaise with TELUS on behalf of Kinross to set employees up with mobile phones and contracts.  Support Cisco meeting/conference room technologies.  Provide second-level Help Desk Ticket resolution to PC and application issues for end-users and business during business hours via ServiceNow.  Support users in the use of computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice.  Create documentation and methods to constantly update the service desk knowledgebase.  Collaborate with IT Infra team to carry out project-based IT work that implements the widest range of IT equipment, including network equipment, servers.  Create and optimize PowerShell/python scripts to automate redundant tasks.
