Looking past the obvious, close observation and engagement of the subject is my process. I use my photography as a means to express the world around me and to capture something that invokes feeling when viewing the portrait. I want the viewer to connect to the image and let it speak to them personally to tell a story. My choice of subject comes from personal experiences and connections. Exploring beauty, pain, happiness, gloom in sometimes the most unexpected circumstances. Recently I have focused on portraits that portray mood through light and composition.
