Dear Ms. or Mr.
I am Maysa Haidar, a tenured high school teacher, mother of three, content developer, and
amateur musician. Originally, I have always regarded myself more of a strategist than
practitioner, but I have evolved into the latter with experience. In another respect, I hold a BA in
English Language (old Lebanese University curricula wherein this degree required 4 years) and
have completed all the courses of MA (old curricula).
Having been a high school teacher— this underrated profession for over eleven years— has lent
me great insight and practical knowledge of the deficits, the reception and acquisition (of both
students & teachers), as well as the prospective solutions concerning English language teaching
and the curricula (Lebanese) in general. In response to the deficit and impracticality, I have
managed to augment and compensate the content to incorporate not only English learning
elements but also life skills and “higher awareness discussions”.
Humility, culture, resilience, creativity, empirical implementation of international references,
palpable experience, realistic assessment of students’ (or people’s) needs, and pragmatic goals
will prove necessary traits in envisioning and designing any prospective curricula (or other
plans). These complex traits can be relayed to and embodied in other domains wherein they have
helped me evolve in my personal life, awareness and perspective, and not only in my profession.
My prospects include expatriation with my family and relocation to the USA, Canada, or
Australia whence I plan to pursue being a dedicated person to enhance my life and other’s life as
well, if I can, by being positive, productive, and insightful. To this effect, I truly hope that you
will find people who will embody these traits and qualifications.
Please, I will be utmostly grateful if you review my sites, wherein I have uploaded some of my
innovative content in teaching as well as in music:
