When asked about my strengths I respond that my strongest skill is relationship management. I have
learned the value of networking and connecting like-mindedness to build a strong working environment
but also one that empowers individuals. At the moment I have two official careers; the first is as a Public
Relations Manager overseeing Africa, Middle East, Asia, Australia and South America. The second arm
of my career is as an Independent Lecturer at Varsity College where I teach Marketing and Sales
Management to first and second year students.
I also provide consulting services which operates as a secondary income stream but where I find great
passion. Some of my clients include a non-profit based out of Burundi and a legal firm in Sandton where
I provide PR, digital, copywriting and marketing strategy services. I have also been involved in donor
sourcing and stakeholder relations in the East African non-profit sector. These three ‘careers’ intersect
at a point where I am continuously inspired and at the same time feeding inspiration to others. I love my
PR role and the relationships I hold with the media. I enjoy the degrees of engagement and the
subsequent deliverables but it is plateaued into a comfort zone and I need new challenges. My heart
and true passions lie in the non-profit sector. I am also much more comfortable going into a more flexible
role.
