About
My name is Rehan Hameed Zuberi. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK. USA in May 1992 in Electrical Engineering. Having 30+ years of diversified industrial experience at different levels in a multinational environment. My experience includes the Project Execution, Plant Erection, Operation, and Maintenance of large Industrial Plants and related Buildings. I have a diversified experience in Electrical and Instrumentation System Design, Procurement, Installation, Testing & Commissioning, and Maintenance. The experience includes HV (13.8 kV substation equipment, HV and MV (13.8 kV,11kV,380V) Cables, Panels, Motors, and other equipment. My last assignment was in Sudan. It was in Sudanese Liquid Air Co Ltd (A DAL group unit) as Plant Manager where I led a team of engineers and technicians to successfully commission and start up a 2000 m3 /day Air Separation plant without any support from the plant’s Chinese supplier. Before Sudan, I worked as a Plants Manager at Abdullah Hashim Industrial Gases and Equipment Company Ltd. Dammam, Saudi Arabia for fifteen years. I had the responsibility for the operation and maintenance of seven different plants including Two Oxygen plants (150 & 60 tpd capacity), Carbon Dioxide, Acetylene, and Nitrous Oxide plants, and a multi-product cylinder filling station including an automatic cylinder testing facility. Later a PLC-controlled Helium filling (liquid & cylinders) station was added. These plants were situated at three different locations in the Dammam area. In addition, a fleet of 21 cryogenic bulk tankers and 25+ different-size trucks was also under my responsibility. All these three locations had Reverse Osmosis Plants for their water requirements. Each plant had HV and MV equipment. I joined this company in 1994 as Instruments Engineer and was responsible for the calibration and maintenance of electronic and pneumatic instruments in different plants. Then I was transferred to Dammam on a new plant project, where I was responsible for the installation, testing, and commissioning of all electrical and instrumentation-related works (including MV, LV & instrument cabling, and termination) during the erection of 150 TPD air separation plant. Later on, a 2-kilometer high-pressure Oxygen gas pipeline was added to supply to a nearby steel mill. Before joining Abdullah Hashim, I worked for Savola Edible Oils as a Project Manager (Electrical). I was responsible for the installation, testing, and commissioning of a 3.75 MW standby power plant consisting of 3 x 1250 kW diesel generators. I was also involved in the upgrading and retrofitting of the process control system from PLC to DCS control. Previously I worked in the same company for six+ years as Electrical Supervisor. In this capacity I participated in the testing, commissioning, and startup of PLC controlled fully automatic 600TPD continuous-process vegetable oil refinery in Jeddah. I was also responsible for the central air conditioning system, building maintenance, and other electrical works, before proceeding to the USA for further studies. My career started at Pakistan Steel Mills Project where I was responsible for all HV, MV, and Instrumentation cable laying and termination. Presently I am in Karachi and available for a new assignment
