About

I am a globally minded individual with my main interests in modern languages, teaching and translation. I am currently teaching high school Spanish and French. I have experience in account management and translation, and I want to continue to make use of my foreign language skills and cultural knowledge, after having spent time living outside the UK in Spain, Brazil, Luxembourg and Greece. I completed a translation traineeship at the European Parliament in 2019, and I have since worked as a Freelance translator and interpreter from Spanish, Portuguese, French and Greek into English (including English into Spanish and Portuguese).

- Full time School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) based at an all girls selective grammar school (King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls). - I spent 5 weeks on a second placement at an all girls comprehensive school (Hillcrest School and Sixth Form) for a contrasting teaching experience. This experience took place during a national Covid-19 lockdown, where I taught children online with live and pre-recorded lessons. - I received weekly formal observations of my teaching in the classroom and I was given aims to work towards the following week.

- I worked in teams across different client accounts in the sports and lifestyle industries, including New Balance, Speedo, Hummel and Canterbury. - I was responsible for all translation & liaison with international media and clients (mainly in French and Spanish). - I coordinated press send-outs, liaison with the media and reporting back to clients. - I worked on a number of client events, some abroad, and was involved in all stages from brain- storming initial ideas, managing suppliers, inviting media and influencers and monitoring media coverage. - I developed my IT skills with Microsoft Suite, Google Drive, Gorkana & Precise Media and Airt- able.
