Nonprofit serving senior care and nursing homes, looking to fill a skilled volunteer position, is seeking an experienced email newsletter editor/designer. Our current newsletter lives on elink and we would like the layout improved. Our email list is in Mail Chimp and we would like to harness more of the functionality of this application. Position also includes researching and sourcing additional engaging content each month on the world of senior care and nursing homes. Approximately five to eight hours a month, position is ongoing. Significant experience in email marketing and specifically in email newsletters required. Professional recommendations also required. This is a volunteer position. The mission of Senior Care Home Entertainment is to alleviate depression and loneliness among the residents of senior care and nursing homes by providing premium, live music and entertainment performances at no cost to the care homes. The current health crisis prevents us from sending our musicians and entertainers into senior care and nursing homes so to continue to serve our non-profit mission, we have created a television series specifically for those isolated residents. The series, Entertaining Older Folks, is a weekly, one-hour, variety style program with music, comedy, magic, poetry and so much more! It streams on YouTube on the Senior Care Home Entertainment Channel. It is available 24 hours a day on televisions, tablets, computers and phones. To create awareness for Entertaining Older Folks, we launched a volunteer telephone outreach initiative to contact senior care and nursing homes and encourage the staff and administration to inform their residents of the series. Our nonprofit, Senior Care Home Entertainment, sends out a monthly email newsletter with a half a dozen links to the contacts to remind them of our free resource and that we are a partner.

As a team, we believe that education is a powerful tool for addressing current and future community challenges. Tai Tanzania is driven by the desire to see every child has an equal chance to access education. In the center of Tai Tanzania Media’s work are compelling narratives that celebrate the positive and reflect our storytelling approach to make a positive impact. We are the fastest growing organization in the field of Social and Behavioral Change Communication (SBCC); the strategic use of 3D animation films to promote positive outcomes in health, education, and social justice. Grounded in human-centered design methodology, we employ a systematic, participatory process that utilizes television, video, print, social media, interpersonal channels, and community mobilization to achieve defined objectives at the community, national and regional levels. We believe that the use of technology is a fast and easy way to reach more youth in Tanzania and the world at large. Storytelling through the use of 3D animations is very effective for educating and entertaining, hence we use this approach to raise awareness on various issues facing the youth and the community. https://www.tai.or.tz Sample of our content: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fctal0hryiw&t=52s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKuMlcZZDr8&t=40s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GEQVouWTAs

Here we encourage groups to come out for as little as 1 or 2 weeks and focus on a particular project. Church groups, nurses, builders and often a mixture of all walks of life come to Ghana with money they have raised and lots of enthusiasm to help a given project. Formal Skills are not essential, and many groups for example, come to paint schools, buy new beds for clinics or toys for the orphans. Teaching on a group teaching project, artwork project with local school groups among others. There is an enormous amount people can contribute. Even a small group with a few hundred pounds can change and inspire lives very quickly. Tell us about your group, including what special skills, if any, they have. We will suggest placements which you could benefit, and give you all the information you require to ensure you come well prepared. We consider groups 5+ people coming to do a project.
