THE MATCHING INITIATIVE
The Matching Initiative provides life-saving support to Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) that serve women and girls by matching NPOs with professionals as Volunteers at a time when the pandemic has hit NPOs on all fronts.
VOLUNTEER DUTIES
· Organize and prioritize Initiative projects and tasks under the direction of the Project Coordinator to ensure proper completion within deadlines
· Assist with community outreach to engage prospective NPOs and volunteers
· Contribute with the vetting and research of potential NPOs
· Monitor Matching Initiative email and correspondence
· Assist in maintaining volunteer and NPO databases
REQUIREMENTS:
· Well organized, flexible and a team player while being able to work independently
· Strong written and verbal communications skills with excellent attention to detail
· Ability to think creatively and prioritize tasks
· Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office is an asset
· Bilingual French/English an asset
· Must be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident or a protected person defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
Volunteer Length: ideally 4+ months (not mandatory but preferred)
Volunteer Location: Within Canada
