Legal & Finance Volunteer Project
The students of today, including the marginalized, under-served and underprivileged will be the workforce and leaders of tomorrow. ReDefiners World Languages has made it our mission to develop this next generation of global citizens. Our mission is clear however, we need you to help identify and apply for the funds to support our endeavors. Help us create a future that your children and grandchildren can thrive in, with mutual respect, empathy, and inter-cultural understanding. While we are passionate, equipped and ready to serve, the reality is it takes funds to operate - to purchase necessary supplies and resources, compensate staff with livable wages and keep the lights on... We owe it to humanity to leave this world better than when we entered it. We invest in educational initiatives that build proficiency in more than one language, promote awareness of the inter-connectivity of society and inspire action. Will you? We invite you to bring your passion, skills and experience to our team as a long-term volunteer. Your help will make a lasting impact on the lives of the people we serve, the people we employ and the people they encounter in their everyday lives. Below, you will find a list of responsibilities that we have identified as necessary in this role: Responsibilities: • Research qualitative and quantitative data to support program initiatives • Research relevant funding opportunities • Write grant applications to support ongoing and proposed programs You will make a major impact through a growing organization; YOU matter to us. To apply, see: https://www.redefinerswl.org/volunteer-registration

We are in the process of trying to reopen our store after severe flooding March 2020. We just put down a deposit to get our electrical panel repaired and are now working to raise funds to get our roof repaired so all of our new electrical isn't damaged from rains. We do have a contractors estimate for complete repairs of our building, but hope to at least get enough to get the roof done. We are hoping to get open by 10/31/2020 to be able to start generating revenue to re open our programs by 2021. We could use some help fundraising for this, OR,...if you know a roofer willing to help us out, that would be Amazing! Once we get our electrical power fixed, we'll also be looking for help cleaning, painting and getting donations organized - I'll post under another project for that. mahalo
