Befriending is a weekly voluntary role where a volunteer makes a telephone call to someone who has a neurological condition andor supports someone with one The aim is to be a calm nonjudgemental ear and bring a bit of kindness and empathy their way We ask that volunteers take on two befriendees where possible so it would require 2 x 30minute conversations each week We do require a DBS enhanced and we can sort that out with volunteers unless they are on the DBS update service
