Reviewed and reproduced all recent state-of-the-art literatures in the intersection between domains of Bioinformatics and Artificial Intelligence, concerning antimicrobial-resistance in Tuberculosis. This research was followed by an investigation into applications of Graph Representation Learning to predict drug-resistance using mutation and protein-protein interaction data encoded as input graphs. Was generously awarded with the Small Grants Program by the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) and National Institute of Health Research (NIHR), UK for this research project. Developed a massively-scalable parallelized data processing pipeline for over 10,000 Whole Genome Sequence reads (few Terabytes worth of data), using various bioinformatics tools, Python, shell scripts and Nextflow (a DSL for parallel and scalable computational pipelines). Developed and deployed a highly decentralized, progressive web application for collecting COVID related data with offline usability, using React, Apache CouchDB and PouchDB. The application, when implemented on the recommended scale would enable Nepal Government to collect local data with impressive granularity and level of detail, in a very decentralized manner. Simulated the spread of COVID-19 using a compartment-based SEIR model. Worked as a member of covidsim.team, a team of Nepali programmers, scientists, and public health workers, volunteering to help create solutions and digital infrastructures, required to effectively tackle the pandemic in Nepal.
