Our team was tasked with brainstorming and creating a prototype for a website that could help ease some pain points in the healthcare industry. We decided to research users’ processes of looking up symptoms online and the struggles they face doing so. Based on user interviews and the results of an online survey, we determined the biggest problem is that people don’t trust the internet resources even though they use them regularly because they want to avoid the inconvenience of time and cost of going to the doctor. In order to alleviate these pains, the UI-CU Responders came up with a website that allows users to chat with medical professionals to get advice and determine if a trip to the doctor is necessary.
