Ikea Sikabe

Problem Ikea offers a home delivery service that is contracted on the final tour of the store, after paying for the purchases. Normally customers do not have this service and choose to hire external services to Ikea that are located at the exit of the stores or carry the purchases in the car, which is a security problem with large furniture. Solution We created the IKEA SIKÄBE service on the Ikea Spain website in which the dimensions of the trunks of the car models were crossed with the volume of the different Ikea packages that they wanted to buy, coupling in a safe way the purchases in the trunks and offering the home delivery service in case it did not fit in the vehicle. For this, we graphically developed the service based on Ikea's design system, including the development of illustrations based on the classic character in the instructions of their products. The tool was included among the services offered by Ikea Spain in April 2020 and is currently under development.
