Challenge: To build a volunteer-facing mobile app that encourages users to get involved and evoke positive emotions towards volunteering. Solution: Allow users to take part in digital-focused micro-volunteering tasks, or longer physical focused volunteering tasks with the freedom to volunteer for as long as they want. Features: The app tracks user activity and gives them personalised hero status. User can follow their favourite charities and view stories for updates on how their contribution has impacted a cause. An indication bar shows how many people have taken part which encourages users to take part in working towards a common goal.
