When, in 1997, I first came from the U.K. to The Netherlands I worked 60 hours a week. Dayshift, evenings, saturday mornings. Obviously I was younger, fitter and stronger then. And I needed to prove myself. Now, older, wiser and stronger in other ways, I need to do that again. Flowery or factual, local idioms or established proverbs, I love and understand the beautiful English language. Not only my mother tongue but also my passion. As a young man I aspired to be an author a journalist, and I sincerely believe I could be an asset to the right team.
