This is a collection of short stories told by fictional characters based on real events that took place in the last years of the Ottoman Empire. The book covers important themes such conflict, deportations, massacres, xenophobia, exchange of populations, extreme nationalism, and genocide which still occurs in today's modern Middle East. The book highlights the repetition of past events in the 21st century which we fail to heed at our peril.
