The environmental cost of food production

I wanted to identify the food produce that through it's production caused the most environmental degradation. I discovered that meat based production has the largest carbon footprint of any food produce. I was also surprised to note just how much freshwater withdrawal goes into tomato farming. Coffee also ranks high in greenhouse emissions, ranking even higher than beef farming.
