The aim was to capture the spirit of adventure, natural beauty, and cultural depth found in the Rocky Mountain national parks. Scope of Work: Designed both front and back covers with a cohesive layout Integrated title, subtitle, and author name in a visually balanced typographic hierarchy Created a custom illustration featuring stylized Rocky Mountain landscapes, pine trees, and a dramatic sunset in a retro travel-poster style Designed the back cover layout to include blurb text, highlights of book content, and space for barcode/ISBN Audience: This book is intended for nature lovers, hiking and camping enthusiasts, national park explorers, and readers interested in U.S. geography, wildlife, and history. Tools & Techniques: Adobe Illustrator for vector artwork Adobe Photoshop for layout and mockup rendering Color palette inspired by natural tones—teal, orange, and earthy shades Layered composition for visual depth and narrative focus Design Process: Studied references from vintage national park posters and real-life park imagery Sketched several layout options for the front cover and refined based on balance and readability Created custom illustrations of mountainous landscapes and natural elements Designed back cover to align with front theme, placing informative text in clear sections with engaging icons and bullet points This project highlights a blend of storytelling and design, crafted to visually express the wonder and wilderness of America's most iconic landscapes.
