Game Ready Tactical Sci-fi Suit.
Without references, full improvisation.
First, I sculpted the body. I made a retopology for the lowpoly.
Then I projected the costume from the lowpoly, and created a highpoly for it. I used the multirres modifier to sculpt the unevenness of the fabric and separate the seams between black and yellow. And then I threw the elements on top. The helmet was created by clinging parts around the head, using sculpting to align the armor parts. Then on the basis of lowpoly I created highpoly, added elements using sabdiv, its give perfectly lines, but still in some places had to sculpt manually.
Baked in Marmoset. Using several texture sets. As for me marmoset bakes perfectly, you can bake any irregularities by leveling the cell, than Substance is limited. That's why only marmoset.
Textured in Substance. Very much handpaint, yellow elements of the suit, gloves, scuffs, rust. Of course, generators do a good job, but manually is always better, although longer.
Created alphas in photoshop and brushes with textures, stickers, text, stripes symbols and bumps.
Animation was used with mixamo. It does a good job and saves time. But editing weights is still a must.
Especially since I have a complex figure with wires all over the body, and I’ve got a problems.
Solved by edited them with Weight Paint on all the wires and on some elements of clothing.
Well, and this is what I got)
