I have an in-depth understanding of the English language and am experienced in the field of editing. I am intimately familiar with the peer-reviewed publication process. I have both experience in publishing my own academic articles and helping students and clients get theirs published. I have worked as a freelance editor since 2015 and have taken on editing projects helping non-native ESL/EFL doctoral students with their dissertations (Masters and Doctoral) and research articles. I have experience copyediting, and editing for grammatical agreement, fluidity of the text, overall structure and formatting, critique of critical argument and character development. The genres I have edited range from poems in creative writing to blogs, articles, research papers, case studies, literature reviews, medical papers, and theses. The content of the dissertations I have edited are Information Communication Technology, Urban Design, Science Diplomacy, and Human Resources. I also have an on-going working relationship with a client doing his medical residency who periodically asks for assistance reviewing and editing his articles. I am experienced in editing medical and scientific documents. I am very detail oriented as editing medical texts requires focus and attention to detail.
