Games for Kids to Run in PE Running is one of the simplest and most fundamental movements the human body is designed to make, which is presumably why it is on practically every physical education teacher's agenda, regardless of the ages or grade levels of their pupils. Running need not be boring, however, just because it is a fundamental activity. Why not mix up the routine instead of going out to the track to run laps? The following list of twelve entertaining running activities is perfect for kids of all ages to play at home with their families or during your next PE class! Red Light/Green Light This well-known running game is excellent for interval training, as well as for enhancing your body's stamina and your ability to pay attention. Set up a starting line with all of your students in it. Everyone begins racing as quickly as they can toward the finish line as soon as the teacher yells "green light." Every runner must stop moving when the teacher calls out "red light." Once the instructor says "green light" again, the students may begin to run. Students are required to slow down until it is time to freeze or run quickly once more if the teacher cries out "yellow light." The Band-Aid Tag This silly tag variation features one tagger and two doctors. The remaining students are potential patients who scurry away from being tagged. When a runner is tagged, they must keep moving forward while holding a "Band-Aid" (a hand) over the location of the tag. They must hold their other hand over that location as well and continue moving if they are tagged again. By the third tag, they run out of "Band-Aids" and turn into Patients. In order to "operate," the doctors must first arrive, then they must then freeze in place. To "operate" and "heal," or unfreeze, the Patient so that the player can resume running, both Doctors must tag the player who is frozen at the same moment. When the Tagger tags runners on comical or challenging locations like their heads, knees, or backs, the game becomes absurd! https://backroomsgame.io
