The most important aspect of a project being successful is the author and editor being on the same page. This gig will help you understand my process and style, while I get to know whether our creative wavelengths match and if I can make a difference in your manuscript.
I believe that my role as an editor is to present an author's most genuine voice to their readers; for this, I believe that healthy communication from both ends can do wonders for the manuscript. I welcome creative differences- that is how you know that the client and the editor are 100% invested in a project.
This is how the gig will work:
1. I will review your requirements and the chapter.
2. I will edit and proofread the chapter.
3. I will deliver the edited chapter (2 MS Word documents- with and without 'track changes' enabled).
4. I will wait for you to review the document and (if required) offer a round of revision.
