Service's Cover Picture
I’m an illustrator with a style heavily influenced by classical illustrators such as Arthur Rackham and Elizabeth Shippen Green. My work consists of whimsical and fantasy themes, but I love drawing anything asked of me. My focus in college was on creating artwork for children's publication, but my career has led my work into the epic fantasy, tabletop gaming, and advertising markets. My work was first published in 2014 as a young adult fantasy novel cover and I've since done work for Coca-Cola International, Flaming Tree Publishing and Art Order. I’m open to all illustrative creative projects and I love expanding my skill sets. I want to make books that inspire people, the way my favorite books inspired me. I love being able to illustrate books because taking the ideas of an author and bringing them to life visually is my favorite part of being an artist. Working one on one with a client to bring the best creative ideas to life is my passion. My work consists of mixed media. I especially love a combination of graphite, watercolor and digital painting techniques. Skills I have developed to better serve my clients: -Offering commission artwork and design work for books, advertisements, gaming media. -Experience with Traditional Media: Graphite, Charcoal, Watercolor, Colored Pencil, Acrylic Paint and Pastels. -Identify prospective customers. -Contact new and existing customers to discuss needs. -Answer questions about the products. -Negotiate prices. -Calculate State and Federal Taxes. -Planning illustrative pieces of artwork based around a client's instructions and vision. -Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to continue relationships. -Managed website and internet presence. -Process payments online. -Producing and Managing all Marketing and Advertising -Producing and selling original fine art and prints online and at conventions. -Prepared rough drafts according to requirements. -Combined hand-drawing and painting with digital media to create complete illustrations. -Format images using industry standard design software. -Applied isometric techniques to add perspective to complex shapes. -Participated in design briefs with clients, editors and/or marketers to identify their needs. -Defined time and budget limitations. -Ensured that printed illustrations met quality and color standards. -Stay up-to-date with new design techniques and software.
