Logos, Brand Hello, this was a good artist statement! It's a feeling you don't hear often, yet we find ourselves saying it after reading the phrases below. The artist's statements don't have to be a source of fear (for the writer) and boredom (for the reader)! Watch some examples of the artist's powerful statements below, and below that, discuss what makes them good. Artist Andy Yoder, sculptor comments: “Many people feel very comfortable in bath towels that are the same color as soap, toilet paper, and tiles. This means that there is a link between them, and the system environment. Home is a place not only for rest, but for control. This sense of order, in whatever form it takes, acts as a shield against the unpredictability and chaos inherent in the outside world. Celebrate the human being, the marks people make in the world. Treasure the local, the small-scale, the eccentric, the ordinary: anything made of interest. Respect what people have built for themselves. Find beauty in some old, worn-out porch or chaotic human-sized storefront, while it's still standing."
