I write about science, history, culture, society, psychology, philosophy, mindfulness, cybersecurity, and politics. Sometimes the tone is very informative and professional, other times absurd and satirical. In my experience, it works best if you tell it as if you were telling it to your friends, whether you are joking about it or being serious. If the topic is really difficult, like the banking system, explain it as if you had a 10-year-old in front of you who wants to understand everything and apply the knowledge to his or her life. In addition to the script, which must make the viewer stay after the first minute and watch to the end, the title and editing (or animation) are equally important. The bar is high in this business.
