Legal Consultant
The individual who takes up the Legal Consultant position at the Salon de la Sagesse is responsible for the Salon’s legal structure and status. More specifically, they will be responsible for:
The composition of legal documents.
The giving of legal advice, providing semi-regular legal consultations.
Management of legal matters for the Salon de la Sagesse, the Journal d’Ambroisie and the ACMC.
Communication with relevant parties.
Providing and executing relevant strategies in legal matters.

Perfect knowledge of the English language.
Good knowledge of the German language.
Good knowledge of Austrian law.
Excellent communication and writing skills.
Good organisational and time management skills.
A legal academic/professional background.
Reliability and efficiency.
Reporting To:
President and Executive Board. More specifically:
Report about legal matters according to need / period / project.
Monthly meeting with President and / or Executive Board.
Bi-monthly meeting with the Salon de la Sagesse Committee.
Expectations:
Be available for the resolution of legal matter as they arise (maximum 30 hours / month).
Attend all meetings set by Executive Board and Committee.
Potentially attend / take part in additional activities set by the Journal d’Ambroisie, the ACMC, etc. (these include Committee Socials, new project brainstorming Sessions, etc.)
Maximum 5 hours additionally / month.
Make sure the Salon de la Sagesse and its projects follow all necessary legalities.
Additional goals, milestones and timelines will be agreed upon at the start of the Volunteering period. The Legal Consultant should refer to the Committee Agreement and the By-Laws for additional information. For any other necessary communication, they should contact the President and Executive Board, with whom they must - if necessary - verbally agree, or put in writing extra agreements.
(Disclaimer: this position is principally remote, but may include occasional travel with the Committee. This position is voluntary.)
