- Installation and configuration of OS’s like RHEL, Ubuntu,
CentOS etc.
- Package installation using YUM and RPM.
- Daily Operating system monitoring, investigate and
troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of networking.
- Patching Management.
- Linux security configuration such as SELINUX.
- Installation and Configuration of File Sharing Server – NFS, FTP,
SAMBA
- Installation and Configuration of Apache and DNS.
- Kernel Management, Kernel Patching, Kernel Tuning.
- Server monitoring and maintenance.
- -Perform daily OS backup operation.
- Linux Schedulers (CRON)
- Knowledge of FSTAB / FDISK.
- Maintaining and deploying cloud infrastructure as per SOW.
- Launch and managing Amazon EC2 services
-Create and managing files in S3 bucket (Simple Storage
Service)
- Ability to configure disk partition, LUNs.
- LVM management / partition Management.
- Changing to assign custom permissions using setfacl, chmod, etc.
-Creating a user/deleting/set permission using useradd, userdel, setfacl
- creating a group and adding members using chgrp,usermod, groupdel etc.
- File system operations (create, mount, umount and remove)
